On the Brink is a student-run organization that holds preformances at the Off Center Theatre of the Tampa Bay Preforming Art Center. The group consists completely of extremely sexy high school students who volunteer their time and talents, and it is managed by the lovely and most wonderful Karla Hartley of the Off Center. Auditions are held annually to recruit new members to the group to replace the old ones that are lost to college and the, "real world." All the profits from the group's shows go to local charities. On the Brink is a very small group consisting of about ten wonderful kids. (Which Karla can tell you is plenty.) Since all of the profit is given away to charity, it goes without saying that the P.R. budget is lacking. However, the controversial little devils have managed to get a few write-ups in the paper. The best exposure OTB gets, however, is word of mouth. Come see one of the shows and tell your friends how much you loved it!
School Dramas are simply not enough. These kids are simply, well misfits. High School drama just isn't their cup of tea. The OTB-ers' shows are eye-openers to say the least. They are on a mission to enlighten, express, and entertain.
