Don't Wanna Lose You Now

Settings: There are basically two settings.

1. This just about happens everywhere. Brian is reminiscing about his life, and you can find him in a variety of places.

2. The performance is at an abandoned warehouse at night. The lights are dimmed a variety of junk litter the place. The boys wear different shades of dark colors, Howie-blue, Nick-red, AJ-purple, Kevin-green and Brian-grey.

Now...on to the story...(note: I hope you have read the instructions at the main page of this section)

Brian opened his eyes to find himself in a weird place. He looked down, and it appeared as if he could see through his own body. When he raised his head, he saw this filmy figure in front of him.

"Who are you?" asked Brian, "And what happened to me?"

The figure smiled slowly. "I'm your angel, and you well, you are given a choice. You have to pick between life and death. But you have to return to your life one last time to make the decision.".

Brian furrowed his eyebrows, "Why?"

The figure smiled, "Because it's how it should be", it said mysteriously.

Before Brian could protest any longer, he felt this cool wind on his face. His vision blurred and shapes slowly began to take form. He saw the interior of a very familiar home, and could hear the faint voice of a very familiar person. He looked around, tring to figure out where he is. He slowly descended from a set of stairs and followed the sound of the voice. He ran his hand along the beige walls, and stopped when he reached the living room.

He turned around the corner to see a distraught looking woman with her head in her arms, sobbing softly on the chair.

He saw his cousin, Kevin Richardson, looking at her with pained eyes, "I'm sorry, Sharon. He's in a coma, there's not much we can do but wait."

"Sharon..."Brian thought, "Who is she? I can't remember..."

The woman lifted her head and nodded to Kevin. "I understand."

Kevin took one more look at her and turned to the door and left.

He looked back at Sharon again. She looked up, as if expecting to see him, but her gaze went straight through him.

Brian's vision blurred again. This time, he appeared at the side of a barn. He heard the scuffling of hooves, and saw Sharon leading out this very beautiful white horse. He watched as she got on it gracefully and gently tapped its side. The horse slowly started galloping and soon it was flying through the air. Sharon laughed delightedly and her hair was flying above her shoulders. She took one jump above the hedges, then another, and another....

Brian soon found himself in the middle of a college campus. He saw Sharon's light brown hair as she sat on the grass, her nose buried in a thick textbook. Wire-rimmed glasses were perched at the bridge of her nose as she placed one of her hands on her temple. A frisbee landed near her, prompting her to look up. She picked it up lightly and gently threw it to the group of young man playing nearby. He knelt down to look at her closer. She finally smiled to herself and closed the book. She took off her glasses and gathered up her things. In one quick movement, she was standing up and was running off to another class.

The next scene found Brian in her bedroom. She stood in front of her mirror without moving. She was dressed in a light blue nightgown, and her hair hung in loose waves over her shoulders. Her eyes traveled around her face, as if searching for something, probably for an answer. Her elbow knocked down a frame next to the mirror. She picked it up, and Brian saw it was of himself and her. In the photo, he held her by the waist and she was lauging and gesturing to the camera. Their lips were almost in a kiss and she closed her eyes, as if she could feel he was there. Brian leaned over and tried to kiss her, but he stood back again, knowing that she won't feel anything. She opened her eyes, which were almost in tears. She put the frame down and headed for the bed.

Lastly, Brian found himself in the hallway of the hospital. Sharon was walking ahead of him, with short measured steps. In her determined pace, he realized where she was heading. He watched her go into a door, and he saw himself lying down stiffly on a starch white bed. She placed her bag and coat over the armchair, and sat down slowly next to him.

"Hey Brian, remember me?" she whispered.

It hit Brian at that moment. He wasn't supposed to go yet. He saw the diamond ring on Sharon's finger. Yes, he had something to come back to. He sat down on the bed and merged his spirit back with his body.

A few minutes later, Sharon was running out of the room. She reached the nurse's station and motioned them over excitedly. In a breathless voice, she said simply to the nurse, "He's back."
