Lt. Peterson lead AJ through the hallways of the police station late at night.

"I can't believe you guys found the suspect this fast." he told her, "I'm really grateful."

Heidi smiled, "It was no problem, Mr. McLean. We dusted the revolver you gave us for fingerprints. It only took a few days for us to get a match."

He looked at her inquisitively, "Where did you find the owner?"

"We looked up the gun's serial number and traced its owner. We arrested him at his house and checked his fingerprints. They were the only ones found on the gun, so he must have killed your wife."

Heidi stopped at the door, "First of all, AJ, I have to say your statement at the beginning of this investigation helped us pin charges on this suspect. You have yourself to thank."

AJ nodded and looked on as she opened the door.

Lt. Collins, who was sitting behind his desk, stood up when they entered. AJ scanned the room hurriedly.

Sitting in the corner was Brian.
