Alex gets up (putting Michael next to Maria) to make room for Isabel and her friends. Michael tries to talk to Maria and she blows him off again. Isabel and Max walk off and discuss whether or not to tell their mom. Michael comes up and adds his two cents. (Surprise, surprise)

Max joins his mother on the couch as she watches the video again. She points out to him that in the video he healed a bird. She asks him about this, and he storms out. Later, he meets Isabel and Michael in the desert. Isabel pleads with them to tell her mother. Michael spouts off his usual complaints and Max tells her that it's not happening. Max and Isabel get in a fight about Max being too controlling.
Maria finds a napkin holder in her locker with a note that says "Handmade by Michael" on it. Later after class Michael asks her what grade she got and he is shocked when she says she flunked. She tells him she decided to keep the napkin holder. Michael tells her not to help him anymore because then he feels like he owes her something and he has to feel like a stone wall. When he's around her, he feels confused.
Max tells Liz it's "okay" if her and Kyle get back together. Liz says that's not happening but she doesn't need his permission, and they start to fight because he thinks she's being like Isabel. Liz tells him to have some faith in the people around him.
Max meets his mom at the park and gives her the toy house that she gave him when he was little. She tells him she will love him no matter what he is and he says she just has to trust him. He's not dangerous. Mrs. Evans seems to accept this.
Later, Isabel and Max make up after their fight.
