Bisciotti approved as co-owner of
Ravens
|
| Call me envious, a 40
year old guy with a spare $600 mil to spend?
We'll take him. The NFL owners unanimously
approved the sale of 49 percent of the Baltimore
Ravens to Steve Bisciotti on March 27. Bisciotti,
who paid approximately $300 million for his share
and has an option to buy the rest of the team
from Art Modell and his family in 4 to 6 years (for
another $300 million), lives in Baltimore. The
good news for Baltimore is that Mr. Bisciotti
apparently has more than dollars, he has sense.
An enormously successful businessman, he has
stated his intention to learn the football
business slowly and surely. "Local ownership
doesn't mean anything unless it's skilled local
ownership. Right now I don't have the skills to
run a football team.", said the new owner.
Hmm, doesn't sound at all like that snide guy
down the road in DC. Welcome aboard boss!
