I'm not even sure how to start telling you about our wedding day. *S* First let me say that the music you are listening too was our wedding song. This is an istrumental version though. *S*
We had fears of everything going wrong because of the recent hurricane and the flooding. However it did turn out to be a beautiful sunny day, a bit hot for this yime of year. *S*
Here we are, October 10, 1999.....50 years after my parents were married. *S* Everything started out good, Sissy and I got up getting things ready for the reception and Chris comes up, only three hours too soon, off I go to the bedroom. *ggls*
The morning was spent with Chris and I running back and forth between the two bedrooms. *L* It was a mad house trying to get things ready for the reception and finish setting up the yard. Sissy was back and forth all morning as well. *S*
Chris and Bobby had to go get Perk and her Angel from the hotel cuz the wedding was taking place out in the country and I didn't want them getting lost. *S* Off they go while Sissy and I try and finish the food.
Sissy gets a shower then comes back out running around again as she sends me to get ready. I had trouble just trying to put on make-up cuz my hands were shaking. *L*
Time goes by and everyone is running around getting ready. We are all in Sissy's bedroom and I go over my list....something old and borrowed is a lil white plastic dove that belonged to Perk's Mother that was tucked in the back of my fan, something new was a necklace and earings that Sissy got me....OH NO!!! I don't have anything blue, everyone started searching everywhere and nothing. Of course I start to panic, then asked Sissy for a piece of blue yarn and I stuffed it in my bra, talk about quick thinking. *LOL*
The music starts and here comes the tears. *ggls* I was gighting with everything in me not to let them roll down my face. I had this huge smile on my face and I think it was frozen there. *LOL* I was your typical nervous giggle box. Chris looked as if he was dipped in cement, your typical statue. Even the photographer made statement to another that if Chris didn't loosen up, he would fall over. *L*
During the whole ceremony I had no idea what was going through Chris' head but I just knew I was dreaming. *ggls*
I can't remember being this happy ever in my life except for the birth of my children. *S* I am on clouds higher than ever imaginable.
We had our reception, dancing, joking, opening the gifts and an over pouring of love and laughter. If you dare, take a look at our pics page and you can see the time we had. *BAS*
Fantasy Girl made this globe for us. Thanks girly! *huge tight sissy hugs*
Michigan Storm made this background and this globe for this page, thanks girly. *huge tight b hugs*
This tells you the story behind the song that we chose as our "Wedding Song". *S*
Always
In this case, there is no flashy cover needed, the music within is arguably one of the greatest songs of all time. So, snuggle up with someone you love and play this wonderful Berlin song
1925
Music and Lyrics by: Irving Berlin
Cover artist: unknown
Ok, so I have neglected Berlin's most famous works in favor of some of the more obscure, well, here is one of his blockbusters. Surely, everyone born since 1925 has heard "Always" many a time. This is, like Alexander's, one of the timeless classics. The cover is not much to look at and has what appears to be Berlin's autograph in the center.
