              A little about the creator....

Well I figured if you've navigated to this page then you must want to know more about me. So here I am! I am the founder and creator of Jenny's Virtual Paradise, which has undergone some major surgery in the past 2 years. Now it's the all new version 3.0! Whooo Hoo! Okay now about me. I am a junior at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia, majoring in Computer Information Systems. Just in case some of my long lost friends come across this page, I attended Cashell Donahoe Elementary School, John Rolfe Middle School, and graduated from Varina High School in 1999. My curriculum viate is quiet interesting. I have many different and meaningful experiences in the work force. For two years, I worked a minimum waged back-breaking job at A & N Stores where I met some awesome and very sweet people. Then there was my 2 summer junior volunteer work at MCV Hospitals, working in the infant daycare center, O.R. business office, and PACU. I will never forget that...oh the horrible Atilla the Hun and the blood drawing needles...5 sticks...black and blue arms and hand...and the TB tests! OUCH! Then there was the employment experience package from Headway Corporate Staffing, where I worked and was offered a full time career at LabCorp America, harassing hospitals and doctors offices so they'd fill out their patient's lab forms correctly, and designing and entering a database for the O.R at the MCV O.R. business office. My last job started out as just simple volunteer work at Dream Catchers Therapeutic Horsemanship, then as the summer rolled around I became the barn manager for a while. My summer of '01 consisted of arriving at 7am to feed the horses at Dream Catchers and do the barn work, then heading to Colonial downs, where I am a licensed groom, grooming horses and more barn work, and from there going to my friend Theresa's house to help with her other horses and helping her 8-year old daughter keep up with her math, reading, and imaginative play skills. I also held an internship at Dream Catchers designing and developing their first professional web site (free of course!). The link to that page is above if you'd like to see my work. After leaving Dream Catchers in July, I continued working under Theresa's tutorage, working on my ground skills and riding. These days, I work at her farm on Saturday's and any other free time that I have. This summer her two fillies will be running at Colonial Downs and I will continue with my grooming and stuff. Hopefully, if I can get myself ready, I may be doing some ponying on the track. I have also been offered a job staying at someone's house for the summer while they are at their other home in Deltaville. In May I plan on going to Tennessee and North Carolina with my family for a week. Anyway, back to me...FOCUS people! :) I love horses and they pretty much are my life, they may in fact be considered one of my vices. The other being ink pens. Yes, ink pens. Whenever I go to Office Max or Walmart, if I see that Bic or Pentel or another brand has come out with a new pack of pens...I MUST have them. My mother has proven this with receipts from over Christmas break. I don't know why I love them so much, I don't even like to write other than my normal school work or letter. I must have a million of them. Anyways, I enjoy anything cute, romantic, or weird, love "glittery" things, colors, flowers, balloons, and anything made with cream cheese. I despise people who think they are better than me, and people who think they know and have it all. My dad always says I have "wine taste and a beer pocket book." I enjoy horseback riding...duh!, fishing, camping, and other outdoorsy things that I only do every once in a blue moon. I would like to try ice skating and I have recently come to enjoy racquet ball. You'd be amazed at how it relieves stress and anger...just gotta imagine a person's face on the wall or use their head as the ball and whack away! My dream date is to go horseback riding on the beach at sunset, followed by a picnic on the beach with candles. At school I am Treasurer of the Christian Student Union, formally known as Baptist Student Union, and a member of Inter Club Council. Twice a year, since Fall of '00, I attend the Baptist Student Union Fall and Spring Conferences at Eagle Eyrie in Lynchburg Virginia. It's a great experience and you get to meet people from colleges all over Virginia, so if you go to a Virginia college, you might want to check into going. Follow the friends link to see pictures from it. I even saw an old friend from high school there, from VCU. Well I better stop typing cause this is getting to the point where I could publish my own autobiography! Have fun with the site and feel free to email me!
