BILLERICA-- It's finally over. The bus ride, the locker-room, the laughs, it's really over.
Surprising, yes......Devastating , of course.
The boys hockey team went through a lot this year and proved that all in all, they had a successful season.
"No matter what, I'm proud of you guys", said friend and fan Craig Turner.
The Indians got marquee performances from Rob Fanning(2 goals, 1 assist), Jarrett Scarpaci(1 goal, 2 assists), Mark Morreale/Andrew Scarpaci(1 goal, 2 assists). Ryan Kelly(1 goal, 1 assist) and Bryan Calabro(2 assists).
Hingham played well and took advantage of every BMHS mistake, We wish them well in the rest of the Super 8 tourney.

A Tribute to Michael James Donovan
Michael James Donovan a teammate, a classmate, and more over a genuine friend, tragically passed away on February 1st, 2002.
Mike was a kid with a bright smile on his face, a crooked "Irish" hat on his head, and a positive attitude day in and day out. An A student and a phenomenon on the ice and lacrosse field, Mikey had all the tools necessary to accomplish anything. He was a very organized kid, a trend setter, a joker, and a friend to all! Mikey "Dons" Donovan will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered....I love you kid, We ALL love you!
Paul "PJ" Donovan, brother of Mike also was a victim in the tragic accident. Everyone knew PJ as the easy going brother who always had to give Mikey constructive criticism about everything. Whether it was hitting the post in hockey, or getting a a bad haircut, PJ was always there to bust him. PJ will be remembered and We all Love you and Miss you!
Christine and Paul, parents of Mike and PJ...We are all thinking about you and there for you. You two couldn't of brought up your kids any better, So loving, So caring, you made your two sons the happiest kids on earth..and made there friends' feel so comfortable and at home when at the house. Thank you Chrissy and Pal, We LOVE you.
Mae Piracha, girlfriend of Mike...We all know how close Mike and Mae were, the two had a strong, sturdy relationship for 4 years and stuck together. Mae everyone is here to comfort you, no matter what it is you need, we are ALL here. We know Mike is looking down on you, and he wants someone to take good care of you besides himself, so that's where we stand. We LOVE you Mehr!
Friends and Family of MJD + PJ....We all know what Mike and PJ were like...sometimes it's impossible to describe the two because they are so amazing. The Donovan brothers are still with us, they are safe, they are free, and they are looking down on us each and every day. Everyone as a group can eventually get through this, everyone in their on different ways. For myself(Mark Morreale), I am always going to think of when we were kids and how much fun we had doing stupid things like our handshakes and mini-hockey games...Also the Billerica Varsity Hockey Team and I are going to dedicate the remainder of the season to Mikey, because we all know he wants us to quote "Smack the Sh*t out of everyone"... So Mike, PJ, Chris, Paul, and Mae we're gonna fly on that ice for you!

Billerica Hockey What a Year!!
They cheer for you on the ice and take care of you off the ice, They really are "Billerica's Finest!"
Contributing to the Indians success this year were the Defensive Dynamic Duo and the Midget Line. Jon Hutcheon led all defensmen in points with 11, and Mike Donovan was right behind him with a goal and 5 assists. The midget line also really rose to the occasion also, as they combined for 135 points in 23 games.
The line of Steve Salemi, Brendan Ronanye, and Dennis McCauley played well this year!
Evan Spencer gets Kudos for his short-term 100 % Mullet!
These two twins had a Dynamite 2001-02 season!
