December 25, 2001: Merry Christmas everyone. I would just like to pass along a quote from fellow sled head friend that i take alot of advice and info from. Glen Mallory. This is his Christmas wish " As we gather around for the winter holidays this year, and hopefully some riding time, I want to remind each and every one of you to please be safe and smart when you ride. Our sport is under more scrutiny than ever before, because those who would take away your riding rights are well financed and have the machine of misinformation cranking away night and day. Save the aggressive riding for the track. Ride on public trails only when there is proper snowcover and stay on the trail right of way. Obey those speed limits no matter how good a rider you are. Wear a GOOD HELMET even if you are just taking a spin in the field around the shop. Keep your trail sled's pipes silenced and your engine in tune. Use a clean burning oil in your two cycle machine. Slow down when you come upon a herd of wildlife and give them room to pass. Volunteer your help during snow emergencies. Like it or not, we are all ambassadors of our sport and any infraction will be blown up and used against us in the court of public opinion. It is time we brought back the idea of using peer pressure to persuade the ignorant among us to RIDE SMART!"

December 23, 2001: Well guys Jeff has recently aquired two more Puma's. Thats correct. Two 1972 Puma's. One 399 and one 440 with shaved heads. The seats are mint and so are the tracks. They sat 10 foot off the ground in a gentlemans garage. They are one owner sleds. All original paper work was handed over. They will be complete resto's. They both have matching tach's and speedo's to boot! Stay tuned sports fans.....

November 20, 2001: Ahh yes it was a warm summer day when we pulled away with that 73 Puma 440 on the trailer in back of the truck. The kid we bought it from and all his friends said never again would it be ready for snow. Guess what Schmucks? SHE'S READY TO ROCK AND ROLL. Thats right guys me and Derek my right hand mechanic have finished the restoration of the 73 Puma 440. She purrrrrrs once again and is roaring like never before. The feeling you get when you know you have proved someone wrong it undiscribable. We put blood, sweat and tears into the sleds we work on. That sled sure has come along long way. Its been the best summer in years to get to work on the vintage cats we all have come to love. I recall a ad arctic cat published in 1974 in many snowmobile mags. "They Laughed, When Arctic Cat introduced the slide rail suspension system. When we introduced the riveted aluminum chassis. When we introduced the low forward-mounted engine. When we introduced the fiberglass hood. When we introduced the fiberglass-reinforced cleated track. "Now one by one the guys who laughed are finally coming over to all these innovations. Features Arctic Cat pionneered." Thats what i think of when these jerks who like to brag talk smack and crack jokes and laugh especially. So boys no matter what your fixin', what your restoring, keep doing it. Its our sport, our hobby, our pastime, no one can take it away...........PIC'S of the infamous Puma coming soon!
