"Bring in the prisoner!" Kyle demanded. Two guards dragged a wretched captive into the room. It had been several days since the battle of 2nd St, and since then, the men had constructed a base on Lighthouse Hill, and named it, of course, Fort Lighthouse. Now Kyle had been busy in his new base, setting it up, and hadn't had time to see his prisoner of war. But, finally, the prisoner was admitted.

"Name?" Kyle yelled. No response.

"Tell me your name!" Kyle demanded.

"Daniel," the prisoner mumbled.

"Alright, 'Daniel', do you have any explanation for your actions?" The prisoner mumbled.

"What?"

"Needed money."

"Poor excuse! Haul him off and shoot him!" Kyle declared. "Next! Ah, Mitch and Jake. My two most loyal lieutenants. I've been wanting to talk to you ever since the battle, but I've been terribly busy. Mitch, I want to thank you for an excellent job. From now on, you are Lieutenant Mitch of the close quarters combat squad. You will be receiving most of the new recruits, so, I hope you are ready for some training drills. Jake, you saved the mission. You led your troops personally into the line of fire and saved Mitch's men. You will lead the squad of fast response, light infantry support, and reconnaissance. But, for my sake, stay out of danger, for you are a valuable asset."

"Yes, sir!" Jake responded.

"You may leave now," Kyle said kindly. "Ryan, we need to have a little talk."

"Come in," Kyle said. Ryan walked into the room and closed the door behind him.

"This is ridiculous. The stupid prisoner didn't give me anything. From now on, I want no quarter. Kill all enemies on sight. You will tell that to my leaders. And another thing, that rascal Dave is to be demoted. He deserted us in the middle of the battle! If it weren't for Jake stepping in, we would have been routed and destroyed!"

"Yes, sir."

"And I want you to take over his squad."

"Yes, sir."
