THESE ALBUM PICTURES WERE TAKEN JULY 18, 2001. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARKS TO VISIT. POINT PELEE IS LOCATED ABOUT 45 KM. OR 30 MI. SOUTH-EAST OF THE DETROIT, MI - WINDSOR, ONT CITIES -- JUST OFF HIGHWAY #3 GOING TOWARD LEAMINGTON -- SEE MAP. THE SITES INCLUDE THE OBSERVATION TOWER AND THE ECOLOGY OF THE MARSH, THE MANY TRAILS - INCLUDING THE MARSHWALK - CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS, THE NATURAL WONDERS OF THE MONARCH BUTTERFLY AND MANY BIRDS, THE EARLY SETTLERS HOMES, A UNIQUE RESCUE STATION FOR SHIPWRECKED SAILORS CLICK HERE TO SEE, AND THE SOUTHERNMOST POINT IN ALL OF CANADA -- WITH A PICTURE TAKEN AT THE LAST LITTLE BIT OF LAND. I ENJOYED RIDING MY BICYCLE ON THE MANY TRAILS AND ON THE ROAD TO THE POINT. THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL NATURE CENTER TO LEARN ABOUT THE INHABITANTS AND THE HISTORY OF POINT PELEE NATIONAL PARK. ALSO, I REALLY LOVE MY TEE-SHIRT THAT WAS PURCHASED AT THE GIFT SHOP. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR HOLIDAY AND VACATION TO THIS GREAT SPOT. CLICK HERE FOR CANADIAN PARK INFORMATION. YOU CAN ALSO CALL TOLL-FREE 1-888-773-8888 FOR TRIP PLANNING. SEE YOU THERE. E-MAIL ME WITH YOUR COMMENTS.
