KRISTEN IS NUMBER ONE!
Kristen took home the Number One plate at the 2001 AMA District 37 Championship Motocross awards on September 26.
Background
Kristen has been riding off road motorcycles since she was five years old. She
began racing in November 1999. In just one year she moved from Novice to Expert, finishing 4th in the Women's Division of both the Desert and Grand Prix Classes of AMA District 37
and finishing Seventh in the Womens Open Class of the 2000 AMA National Hare and Hounds
2001 Season
Kristen took home the Number One Plate for the AMA Southern California Championship Motocross.
She led District 37 for Expert Women in Desert, Enduro, Grand Prix, and Best of The West through most for the season. Even after international travel forced her to miss a race or two in the fall she
went on to finish second in Grand Prix, Desert, and Best of the West, and fifth in Enduro. See the District 37 results here.
She is in third place in the National Hare and Hounds in the
Womens Open Class of the AMA 2001 National Hare and Hounds
NOTE: Racer Kristen is temporarily retired, having assumed duties as a full time wife and mother. She still runs an occaisional race, but most of her racing these days is to keep up with 3-year old Hailey shown here helping Mom cook, and 1 year old Kaden!
