New York Mets Ring member site

In 1962, the National League expanded for the first time in the century, adding two teams. My website is devoted to one of those expansion teams, the New York Mets. I became a Mets fan in 1968, when a player from my hometown of Lost Nation, Iowa, Jim McAndrew, reached the majors. McAndrew had an uneventful career, but was part of the 1969 World Champions, and the 1973 National League champions.
The Mets team colors, blue and orange, although the colors of a new team, have roots back to the nineteenth century. Blue was represented by the recently departed Brooklyn Dodgers, and orange, the former New York Giants.
This website will span the years of the New York Mets, from their infancy, to the present.
