August 19th (Ohsweken)Another good run in the dirt. Alvin had tire trouble in the heat, which resulted in a black flag from a pole start, but in the feature an 8th place start ended up as a 9th place finish. When we get the car back off of the dirt track without any major damage we consider ourselves successful.

August 11 Pretty good night of racin. Heat race Alvin started on the pole and finished 4th, in the feature he started 10th and finished 6th.

Alvins first win at Cayuga
Crossing the finish line

August 5th Cayuga track the car and crew came together nicely Heat race Alvin finished 2nd after leading the pack for 6 laps, in the feature he had to settle for a 3rd place finish.

Perhaps our youngest fan

August 4th first time back on the asphault with the Fire bird going again, all the extra work paid off for Alvin with a WIN in the heat race and 4th in the feature.

July Ohsweken dirt track, the back up car is a little lazy but still worked well in the heat race with a 5th place finish, DNF in the feature due to heat problems

This is Alvin (if you look close you can see the smile on his face) he likes to go fast.

July Ohsweken (rained out)

The damage didn't kill us, but it did set us back

July Cayuga Disappointment prevailed when a careless mistake cost Alvin any chance of a respectable run. A car which had stalled and put in the infield managed to restart and come straight up track on the end of turn 4 and almost destroyed the Firebird.

Cayuga Results: Saturday took 3rd in the 1st heat, 2nd in the 2nd heat, and black flagged in the feature when a lap car blocked Alvin and subsequently spun out. Sunday took 3rd in the heat, and 10th in the feature. Trophy and cash for the "Best Appearing Car". More info and Pics are on the way.

Alvin took the Firebird to Flamboro on Saturday The first heat race was respectable 4th place start and finish. The 2nd heat was also good with a 3rd place start and 4th place finish. The feature started well with a 4th starting spot, but a bid for 3rd went sour and cost a lap leaving him with 12th. All in all not bad for a first run with a new car.
