Activity Rating Formula
Performance Rating
These ratings are for single games from games I have attended and scored during the 2004-05 season.
I use two ratings formulas: the Performance Index and the Activity Rating Formula. Each is based on the players' statistics (i.e. not team performance).
The Performance Rating is:
Rating=points+rebounds+assists+steals+blocks-turnovers+made goals made-field goals attempted+free throws made-free throws attempted+threes
The Activity Rating Formula is:
Rating=field goals attempted+blocks+steals+rebounds+steals+free throws attempted+turnovers
I normally keep this all in an MS Works spreadsheet. Due to the limitations of this editor (I'm speaking of myself, not the Angelfire system) I just have to spill the data onto a normal text file.
Sorry for the mess. I'll clean it up a little at the end of the season when I have a "final" version but as long as I'm updating this each week, this will have to do.
