This formula is a slightly-modified version of the same formula the NBA uses in its annual Pre-Draft Camp (now held in Orlando). It is based entirely on game statistics.
The formula is:
Index=pts+rebs+asts+blk+stl+3pt+fg-fga+ft-fta-turns
Numbers in parentheses are negative numbers (e.g. (1) is really -1), (2) is really -2 and so on)
