Bo Outlaw Active Player Award Winners
This award, named for NBA player Bo Outlaw, is a way to recognize the most active players on the floor. Outlaw (a JC alumn who is now with the Orlando Magic), known for his incredible energy level, once had 40 points and 25 rebounds in a summer league game I saw, and is known for playing an active game (and in the summer is known to play more than one game per day, given the oppurtunity). In 2005, he had another big game in the summer with 43 points and 19 rebounds in a game that went into quadruple-overtime.
Anyway, this is my own formula, which is designed to measure a player's overall activity level rather than his success rate.
Good players make things happen, even if some days the results aren't there.
Or, as John Wooden noted, the team that makes the most mistakes usually wins - because their aggressiveness also helped them make the plays that win games.
This award is strictly mathematical, and the guy with the highest ARF (Activity Rating Factor) wins.
