Reedley led early 8-4 before an extended run gave Foothill a 27-12 lead midway through the first half. They continued to lead by at least 5 well into the second half and led 49-39 before a 13-4 run made it close again. Reedley took the lead 59-58 with 4:40 left and led until a Paul Richard 3 with 37 seconds left tied it. Reedley’s Griffin had a chance to win it at the end of regulation but his 8-foot runner rimmed out. Griffin scored 2 FT on St. Jean’s 5th foul to begin OT but then Foothill’s Adjiwanou scored 3 straight FGs to give Foothill a 71-67 lead. 2 Richard FTs with 6.1 left helped seal the deal. Griffin’s desperation 3 at the buzzer hit the rim.
