Halftime score: Foothill 48, Chabot 37
Chabot entered 17-10, ranked #10 North / #19 Calif
Foothill entered 20-7, ranked #6 North / #11 Calif
Foothill started the game on a 10-0 run and eventually built the lead to 19 due in large part to Powell’s 19 points and 5 steals in the first half. Chabot came back largely on the strength of Holloway’s shooting and tied the game at 57 early in the second half. They tood their first lead at 64-62. The lead sea-sawed for the next few minutes and Chabot trailed by just 2 when Crookshank fouled out. Despite some shaky free throw shooting the Owls pulled away. They led by 9 until Tejada’s 3 in the final seconds made the score look a little closer.
