8/10/01...Pittsburgh Pirates vs. San Diego Padres
PITTSBURGH PIRATES
Today was Bill Mazeroski Hall of Fame day at PNC Park today and for the first time, I stayed after the game to get autographs. I did OK. The Padres went all on a bus, so I couldn't get any of them and none of them signed before the game. I really wanted to get Gwynn's autograph, but I didn't. This is what I got from the Pirates:
Todd Ritchie Todd has emerged as the Pirates' ace with the injury of Benson and the trade of Schmidt and was a great signer tonight.
Mike Lincoln Lincoln is one of the best pitchers in the Pirates bulpen.
Adam Hyzdu Hyzdu is a rookie outfielder for the Pirates this year.
7/20/01...Altoona Curve vs. Hew Haven Ravens
ALTOONA CURVE
OK. Here is the story on this game. I was already half way to Altoona which is 2 hours away. And I figured I would go other than going another time. I didn't have anything with me. No cards. No sharpies. I bought my ticket. Bought a 2001 Team Set of Altoona and got a black sharpie. These were my successes. If I would have brought all my cards, I would have had WAY more.
J.R. HOUSE 1/1 House is always a great signer. I had about another 5 for him at home. I will just have to get them signed later.

BEN SHEETS The only reason I basically went to the game was to get Sheets' autograph and he signed for EVERYONE!
Curtis Leskanic I got Leskanic on a baseball. Will add a scan soon. He is a nice guy!
Allen Levrault I got Levrault on the same ball as Leskanic. Also, very nice. Signed for about 20 minutes. I'm thinking of just getting all the players of visiting teams on that ball if I don't have a card of them.
That was it for today. PNC is a horrible place to get Pirate autographs during the game. I probably would have gotten more Brewers, but they didn't take batting practice.

I got J.R. House on a baseball and we chatted awhile. Very nice guy! Then about 30 minutes after he signed for me he pounded a 427 ft. homerun to center field
