Baseball Hat

This covers a player's head when he or she is out in the field on
defense. The visor that hangs down from the front protects your eyes
from the sun, unless, of course, the hat is on backward.
Jersey

When it's time to take the field, you need something to differentiate your team from the other team. That's where the jersey comes into play.
Baseball Pants
NOT provided by The League
Baseball pants are usually made of polyester or nylon and extend to just below the knee. They are ideal for running and sliding movements associated with playing baseball. They can fit a bit snugly, so don't stuff yourself before a big game! (optional)
What to Look For
Pants should feature an elastic waistband. Some have loops for a belt, but this is not a necessity.
Comfort is crucial: make sure your pants are not too tight or too loose, especially around the waist and in the crotch area.
Should feature a back pocket, ideal for storing a batting glove.
Sliding Pants
NOT provided by The League
Sliding pants "slide" under the baseball pants to provide extra protection to the side and back parts of the upper thighs when players "hit the dirt". The extra padding these short pants provide cut down on abrasions or strawberries (pink-colored abrasions on the leg or hip caused by sliding) players sometimes encounter when sliding. (optional)
What to Look For:
An elastic waistband
Sliding pants are usually composed primarily of nylon and have extra padding in the side and back parts of the upper thighs.
Each pant leg should extend no farther than the lower part of the thigh.
