20th Street/Five Points District- People watching at its finest. Enjoy Birmingham's night life at the one Southeast's most diverse districts. Listen to live bands at the various music halls, enjoy fine indoor/outdoor dining at one of the area's countless restaurants and cafes, or visit some of the area's hottest clubs.
McWane Center-Take the whole family to one of the country's largest and most interactive science museums. Also make plans to attend a feature film at the adjacent IMAX theater.
Rickwood Field-Visit the Oldest Ballpark in the United States. Once the home of the Negro League's Birmingham Black Barons, and the Birmingham A's, Rickwood has hosted many hall of famers. Babe Ruth, Wille Mays, Ty Cobb, Vida Blue, and many others have all played at the historic landmark. The ballpark has recently been restored to it's original turn-of-the-century look and feel, right down to the outfield wall advertisments.
BJCC, Boutwell Auditorium, Alys Stephens Center, Oak Mountain Ampitheater-Enjoy music? Check out any of these venues to hear a variety of different music genres. From *NSYNC, to Aerosmith, to Ozzy Osbourne, to Bob Dylan, to the London Symphony Orchestra, you can hear it all; they have all visited the Magic City.
Birmingham Civil Rights District-Visit the historic 16th Street Baptist Church, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, or tour Kelly Ingram Park. Relive the past and enjoy the present from the South's largest civil rights memorial.
