It is not fiction...

For thousands of years astronomers studied the heavens with the only optical tool at their disposal:the unaided eye. The eye is an imperfect astronomical instrument, having little light collecting capability, no magnification and no ability to record a scene or to accumulate light in a "time exposure". But now, with the number of enthusiasts rising and with more and more commercial telescopes easily available, astronomy is no longer confined within the limitations of the eye. Astronomy is no longer as remote as in the past nor is it remote to the common person. The night sky is always up with plenty of "Jewels" for all to see, admire, discover and even "keep", either in their hearts, memory or photographs. It's very sad to know that many people think astronomy is something which only professors from MIT do and to the lay person, astronomy is interesting for say 10mins of looking up into the night-sky then thereafter, display a level of interest equivalent to when watching reptiles on the National Geographic Channel. This website serves to display the various astrophotos i have taken either professionally or in a casual fashion in a hope to spread the beauty and magnificance of the Universe we live in. And for those who are interested in going into astronomy, there are helpful links on this page introducing the types of telescopes and their maintenance to help the beginner make a wise choice.
