Abdur Rahman Baba

Abdul Rahman baba was the most popular spiritual (Sophi) poet of pukhtu language. His poetry is very simple but carry a very deep and universal message about truth and honesty and the love of God.

The subjects of Baba's poetry are universal love, sympathy, peace, humanity and true friendship.

As Rahman Baba Says:

Live not with thy head showing in the clouds,
Thou art by birth the offspring of this earth,
The stream that passed the sluice cannot again flow back,
Nor can again return the misspent time that sped,
Consider well the deeds of the good and bad,
Whether in this thy profit lieth or in that.

Khoshal Khan Khattak

Khushhal Khan Khattak, known as "the Man of Pen and Sword". He has contributed immensely to the Pukhto language. Researchers and critics have enlisted him as a great warrior, philosopher, scholar, social reformer, political visionary, moralist, historian, critic and a lover of beauty and nature.
Khushhal Khan possessed a multi-dimensional personality.

Khushal Khan' Words

They place before them the Quran,
They read aloud from it,
But of their actions not a one
Conforms with the Koran.

In which direction should I go?
Where should I seek for them?
Wise men have now become as rare
As the alchemists stone.

Good men are like garnets and rubies,
Not often to be found,
While other common, worthless men,
Like common stones, abound.

Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari

Hamza Baba was called “The father of Pashto Ghazal" because he gave a new dimension to pukhto Ghazal. He was a genious scholar. His poetry was very deep and fluent.

Hamza' s poetry was a spiritual man and one can feel the massage of Rahman Baba's poetry in it but in a different style.

As like Hamza baba says

I observe the same face in every thing,
That disappeared in His over creation

Watch carefully, life was a point in the beginning,
Up and down, entire universe was its circle.

He loved his mother tongue as he describe it like this

Please God increase ten times the beauty of Laila of Pashtoo
And then also increase my love ten times more than Majnoons.

Khan Addul Ghani Khan

Khan Abdul Ghani Khan was one of the finest Pushto poets of this 20th century. His poetry is about the mysteries of life, death, God, love, nature and religious beliefs and concepts of his people in his won distinct way. The massege in his poetry is very wide and for every one.

Ghani Khan' Words

A king may build a palace grand
I raise to love my edifice
His name is written in the sand
The name Majnun immortal is

A pir like Love does not exist
His teaching ever meets my plaints.
The miracle of love is this
That common people become saints

The world may offer timely aid
But vanishing it is, no doubt.
As restless as the mountain shade
It moves and moves and passes out
Jamshid, Bahman and Key Qobad
Are witness to its faithlessness
With Faraon, Nimrod and Shadad,
It gave no one a resting-place
Fulfillment found not one of them
Short of their goal they passed away
And not a single requiem
Would those, who followed after, say
ARARMAN, from such a sad and cruel time
Flee to the justice of your Lord sublime!
