"Lion Hunt"

Searching for a way to defeat his nemesis Leoric, Darkstorm and Mortdred seek out the witch Hesquidor. The witch is flattered she is remembered after so many millenia and assists Darkstorm by giving him a potion to trap Leoric in his lion form forever.

In order to lure Leoric into the trap, Darkstorm fools a village into thinking they are being terrorized by a giant beast -- really the Dagger Assault in disguise. Fletchin -- the daughter of Glearing the farmer -- goes to New Valarak to beg for help.

Leoric readily accepts, and while exploring the ruins of the village, is surrounded by the Darkling Lords. Changing into his Lion form, Darkstorm splashes Leoric with the potion.

Turning red, and unable to change back, Leoric flees into the hills. The Darkling Lords rally the villagers to hunt the now red lion whom Darkstorm claims is responsible for the destruction. When Lexor sends Fletchin to investigate a noise she heard, she is cornered by Leoric.

He scratches his name into the rock and she realizes he has been bewitched. However, Darkstorm does not give her the chance to explain to her fellows and they force Leoric to flee once more.

He is caught by Cryotek and the Spectral Knights who unwittingly prepare to slay the beast. Fletchin stops them just in time. Consulting the Bearer of Knowledge, they learn of Hesquidor. Whitterquick uses his power of Light Speed to reach her and demand an anitdote.

After a brief duel in her cave she submits but warns him that when the third sun of Prysmos has set the change will become irreversible.

Whitterquick races back in his Cheetaur form, while the Spectral Knights try to defend Leoric from the villagers and the Darkling Lords. Just as the third sun is about to set, Whitterquick arrives and delivers the antidote, restoring Leoric to normal.

The villagers angrily turn on the Darkling Lords, forcing them to flee. Leoric and Fletchin hold hands as the third sun sets.
