"The Dark Hand of Trechery"
Reekon and Mortdred, sent to scour the junkyards for metals, discover that they can embue vehicles with magical energy! With vehicles at their command, the unified Darkling Lords begin to pick off the good aligned magical knights.
First baiting Arzon with the trap of a disguised Virulina. Forcing Whitterquick to waste his powerstaff in fleeing to New Valarak, only to be captured at the gates by awaiting Darkling Lords.
Finally they ambush Cryotek on his way to his snowy kingdom of Northalia with Galadria. Escaping into the water under the ice, Galadria makes it back to New Valarak to warn Leoric, Ectar and Feryl. Troubled by Darkstorm's trechery, Leoric consults his Wisdom Powerstaff and is told "You must become one with the circle of light". However, the Darkling Lords strike quickly, unleashing Cindarr's power of destruction.
The Sky Claw and Dagger Assault vehicles join the assault, piloted by Mortdred and Reekon. Leoric and the others are outnumbered and eventually subdued. As a warning to the knights, Darkstorm removes Feryl's totem with the magical dungeon in the Dagger Assault. The knights are then imprisoned in Castle Darkstorm.
Leoric realizes what his powerstaff meant, and together they form the aliiance of the "Spectral Knights". Using their animal forms they are able to break out of their cell and restore Feryl's totem in the Dagger Assault. They reach the throne room to discover the Darkling Lords are in the midst of fighting amongst themselves.
Finding the situation reversed, Darkstorm and his band are imprisoned. However, a diguised Merkyln gives Darkstorm a magical key so that hey may escape.
