| There are many,
many reasons for building a teacher web site. What I believe is important
is that you figure out for yourself what your purpose is in building your
site. Once you do that, you can begin to gather the information and put
together the materials to carry out your purpose.
Included in this chapter are articles and sites written and created by other teachers. Some are good and some are very, very good. I don’t expect you to analyze them all, but look through them as much as you like. You may get some ideas for your own site. I believe that
the first article, written by a chemistry teacher, on “Why Build a Web
Site for A High School Class” touches every reason I can come up with.
