Sony thinks slim

As lots of people know slim is in so Sony plains to work it to death. At first glance Sonys Vaio X505 Notebook looks like it will steal the spot light. . . Talk about slim, this Vaio X505 has an ultra thin body. Carrying this will be no problem to deal with because it weighs 1.85 pounds. The good news Sony put as much RAM as they could in this baby, 512Mb of RAM.

The bad news 64Mb of it is being shared with the video RAM and to add more bad news . . . . you cant add more RAM it's already at it's max. In more good news if you tired of seeing that DAMN FDD (floppy disk drive) it's no longer there. In doing so Sony felt they could make more money by also removing the CD/DVD drive.

Sony is willing to give you an external (i.Link Portable DVD+-RW Drive $399.99) DVD burner drive for an extra charge of $299.99 if you purchase it with the Vaio X505. The hard drive holds 20Gigs and it's loaded with Windows XP Professional. All in all this is by far Sonys slimmest Notebook PC.
