When You're Gone

What do you say
To a dying friend?
What can I say to my friend
So dear?
I'll miss you,
God will be with you,
But my emptiness
Will remain.
You will be at peace,
But my heart will mourn.
You say you are
Not afraid
To die.
I know you are very brave
And you trust
In God.
But I don't think
I'll ever forget the grief I'll feel
When you're
Gone.
