The picture is that of the Havamahal. Back in the past this palace was occupied by the king and his family. The ladies used to sit besides the numerous windows to watch the outside. Since Jaipur is called the Pink city, the palace is painted in dark pink. It looks more of red due to the aging and climate. | |

This is Raja Mansingh courthouse which is also located right in the heart of the city a few blocks from Havamahal. It used to be the primary business transaction place and also served as the primary judical center as justifies the name. | |

This picture shows the Jalmahal. Ideally it is a beautiful sight to watch since the palace stands in the middle of a huge lake. However due to the scanty rainfall in the year 2002, there was no water in the lake. A worker toils in the heat of the day somewhere in the front of the palace. The palace houses a small museum and also a large banyan tree in the center of it and which is worshipped by the locals. | |
