The following pictures have been taken at Amber Garh which houses the old Jaipur city. It was built by Raja Mansingh and is enclosed inside a 12 Km long fort wall. One can see the new Jaipur city that was built at a later date in the far upper left corner. A panaromic view of the landscape around the fort is seen below. A part of the wall is see stretching at top of the mountain . The sqaure structure seen in the middle is the Kesar Garden which resembles the form of a carpet when seen from the top. The surrounding space is supposedly a lake, however due to zero rainfall then, the lake is dry ! |

This picture is taken on the terraces of one of the palaces built on the Amber fort. the fort walls seen in the background are those of Nahar-garh. | |
