General History: Tenchi was born in rural Japan, in the Okayama Prefecture, around the mid-to-late 1980s, to Noboyuki and Achika Masaki. At times switching from life in suburban Okayama to the rural serenity of his grandfather's shrine, Tenchi developed a love of his land, and the legends surrounding it. His grandfather, Kasuhito, frequently described to him the legend of a nearby cave. The legend said that seven hundred years in the past, a great demon came down from the sky, and ravaged the nearby landscape. A great samurai in a ship like a dragon came to stop it, defeating it with a holy sword, and sealing it within the cave. Kasuhito went on to add that Tenchi was a descendant of that samurai, Yosho, and the true nature of the name Tenchi - Heaven and Earth. At an early age, his mother prematurely died, leaving Tenchi with a vacuum concerning the lives of females, especially after his grandmother died. As the years passed, Tenchi came to be your typical 'nerdy' young man. Having little or no experience with women, it can be seen from conjecture that he experienced very little romance up to the point when they arrived. Around the summer after his fifteenth birthday, Tenchi managed to snag the keys to the ancient cave away from his grandfather. Being curious, he opened the ancient gate, eventually causing a chain reaction that sent him into the tomb of said demon. As he walked towards it, it somehow awoke, putting its' face to his before he ran off, and resealing the cave. Soon afterwards, at his first day back at school, Tenchi falls asleep on the blacktop, waking up in the middle of the night only to be confronted with that 'demon' - The spiky haired Ryoko. She chases him around for awhile, having a good time, while Tenchi is scared out of his wits. Eventually, he confronts her with the Tenchi-ken, conviently stowed in his knapsack, eventually taking her hand off, and her fake jewel, thus defeating her. She instantly regrows her hand, and he runs off right as the school explodes from the fight there. He returns home only to find Ryoko at his home, soon becoming involved as a pawn between her and the Juraian Princess, Ayeka. Ayeka, her sister Sasami, and Ryoko end up staying at his house, while Tenchi tries to figure out what is happening. Over the next few months, the galaxy police officer Mihoshi arrives at his house, helping him and his group in defeating Kagato, former master of Ryoko. What follows is a cataclysmic battle in which the lower half of Tenchi's body is separated from him, and he nearly dies, only to be brought back to full health by the goddess Tsunami. During the battle, Mihoshi accidentally falls into the bottom dimension of Kagato's ship, the Soja, awakening the genius scientist Washuu, who remains with Tenchi and the others following the battle. Over time, Tenchi becomes very close with the girls, and shows strong attraction to most of them, yet he keeps his distance. Over the next year, the girls try to seduce him with tips from shoujo manga, finds out about Washuu's past, understands the past of Ryo-Ohki, saves Washuu and Ryoko from the eccentric Dr. Clay, and defeats Ayeka's 'suitor', Seiryo.

Personality: While at times having a short temper, Tenchi is usually a kind and pleasant person. He is very aware of the feelings of his newfound family, respecting all of their opinions, and taking great lengths not to offend or bore them. He is very polite towards Ayeka, who still attains her royal attitude at times, and takes her emotional and/or sexual advancements with care, just like he does with Ryoko. While annoyed by her constant antics, he sees her as a friend, but dislikes her constant feud with Ayeka. He does show strong attraction to both of them, yet he is unsure of how to handle this, as he must choose just one of them. However, most Juraian kings have two wives, so it may be possible that he could marry both in the future. He is very kind to the others, showing some attraction to them, and treats them like family.
Special Notes: When he sees something 'naughty', Tenchi's nose tends to bleed.
