Name: Michele Mason Email: Micaeli@comcast.net I adopted a (just turning 2 year old Rotte mix(shepherd) from a shelter last year. He is neutered and minds well. He is the smartest dog I have ever owned, gets peanut butter jars and opens them, opens gates, doors etc. He is very protective but has not bit anyone. Everything he does is intense, when you call him he is there in a flash, but when he plays with my shih-zu who is 8 years old and my husbands hunting dog he is too rough. He plays so rough, nipping them in the necks, pinning them. Although he loves other dogs. We have to keep them separated and that is too hard in a house. He loves anyone you LET in the house, but not people who come in that he doesn't know or I didn't let in, until I tell him its okay. He likes my l cat, hates my other cat. He is a dominant dog which I am not use to. I had him to a trainer but I am not in command enough and he barks at everything (wears a bark collar to stop that) My husband said he has to go back to the shelter, but he is too loving and sweet to be put to sleep. I need any help at all. He looks like a Rottie, short tail, chubby body, black and tan, short hair. Very cute everyone says he has an adorable face..

Hi, I have a 1 year old male Rottweiler, who is neutered. He
knows how to sit, lay, beg, and fetch. He is also housebroke. Harley
requires a lot of attention and a lot of exercise. As much as i love my
dog, i can no longer give him what he needs as he has gotten too large for
my yard, and needs more room to run. Harley is a very affectionate dog,
and loves people. He doesn't usually bark unless he's upset with a
situation or is trying to get your attention. He is not papered, so
therefor free to a good home where he can run more and have more
attention. Angie Lynch: angieanette@hotmail.com

I own a dog named Ivy. She is show quality Rott. She is very loving to kids and her family. Yesterday she bit and killed a dog who was visiting next door. Our only choice was to have the pound come and take her. They will hold her for ten days and then put her to sleep. We are extremly upset. It is our disition to put her down because of the neighbor. She is a very gentle dog and was very gentle to our 8 month old baby. We are still in shock. Is there any chance of finding her a home?We have 10 Days only. She will be distroyed on May 1, 2002. Please help. Deanna Walter

We have an 8-year-old Rottie who needs a home right away. He's been well cared for and is neutered. He has a very nice temperment. He weighs 130 lbs and recieved a clean bill of health from the vet recently. We love him, but our 9 month old just started crawling and because of his size, we are afraid she may accidently be harmed. Although he's never hurt anyone, with a little baby, we want to be cautious. Please Help! We love "Zeus" and want him to go to a nice place. Andrea and Steven Andrews

ROTT NEEDS NEW FAMILY FAST... family illness!! We are moving in with family due to an illness. Sheera is a ten year old rott. She has a very loving temperment, but is getting a little fussy with young children in her old age. She would be a perfect friend to an adult family, or adults with older teenagers. She is protective with her family, but will welcome guests once she is introduced."MOM" has been sick, so she could use more excersize than she has been getting ... the boys (ages 4 & 10) will miss her so much, but there is no room at grandma & grandpa's for a big old puppy that wants nothing but love! I dont havee-mail, this is my sister's but she is helping me find a home for SHEERA.Any help placing her in a good home would be greatly appreciated!!!

have mama and daughter rotties. Mom (Maxie) is 7.5 ys old. Daughter (Gracie) is 6. They are sweet and smart, my companions and security. Recently, a man was walking his dog in front of the house and they got out the storm door and attacked the dog. They didn't injure it, thanks to my son, but there is an investigation. My neighbor, I've recently learned, is afraid to go into her back yard because of the dogs. At this point in my life, I don't think I can handle any more legal problems. I feel I must relinquish the dogs. Neither have been spayed. They've always been confined but both are "menopausal" at this time. There is a bit of arthritis in each dog but both are active and happy. Can you advise, please? My heart is broken. Linda Hyre

This dog is a giant. he is sweet and easy going. he belongs to my brother-in-law, who has just gotten married, and now "can't keep" him. i would take the dog, but we have already adopted one of his brother's rottweilers and my husband says no more! i feel badly for the dog because he is a big sweetie and hate to see him go to a shelter because i'm afraid of what would happen to him there because of his age! please email meback as soon as possible!

My dog is a male has been neutered. Good tempurment. However he thinks he's on 20lbs as to his actual weight of 130lbs. We have a new born son, 7months which has now restricted Brutus to the basement which is unfair for him we are looking for a good home for him. Nicholas Mirus

I have a five year old Rottweiler male that I adopted as a puppy when I was living in a city. A couple of years ago we moved to the country and he has had to turn in to an outdoor dog. He has become hard to keep home and does not get the attention that he needs. He is a big baby - somewhat jealous of kids, but never mean; hates cats; loves dogs; loves lots of love and attention including being let in the house to hang out with his favorite people. He is not necessarily loyal as he goes wherever he is treated the best which is the problem right now. Our neighbors were letting him in their house and giving him steaks and stuff, but have now decided that they can't have him around. We are having to keep him in a pen where he is so sad that he cries all night long. I am a single mom and cannot afford to get a place of my own and my mother will never allow for him to be a house dog again. I would love to find someone who loves big sweet dogs and would treat Baron the way he deserves to be treated. He has never shown any aggressive behavior, but does weigh about 140 lbs. He is completely house broke, but needs some behavior training because he loves to sit on laps ( and you can see the problem with this.) Please help me find a home for my dog - I will take him anywhere and he has all shots and is in great health besides being a bit overweight. You can contact me at: Lesley Rigney

About 8 weeks ago I resucued a female Rottie from a shelter - she was picked up as a stray and had heartworms. We treated her heartworms and she is doing great! Is it possible for me to place her on your web site? I have two other Rotties and a mix already, so cannot keep her. Her name is Kiya, she is about 1 1/2 - 2 years old. She is spayed and crated trained. She is very smart, as most typically are. She is very sweet with a strong . She is obedient, but needs an owner who understands the breed and will not allow her to "run the show" at home. She would take advantage of a meeker person. She weighs about 75 lbs. and is a good girl. Please let me know and I can send you a photo of her - thank you! Jonna Sherman

Midwest Boxer Rescue is getting a boxer and rottie that the owner moved out and left the dogs. The neighbor rescued them, but is unable to keep them. Midwest Boxer Rescue is picking them up next week and having all vet work completed, but will need to find a rescue group to move the rott to. Her name is Diva and she is a very small girl. She is 2 years old and is friendly and not aggressive at all. She will let the boxer eat before she touches the food (sounds like the boxer is alpha). She probably should not be around small critters because she was attacked by raccoons when she was small according to vet records. Do you have room for Diva in your program or know of someone who does? I told Anna that if by some chance she was heartworm positive I would have her treated and keep her during the treatment, but I would prefer that a rott rescue take her since I am usually packed with boxers and Dobermans
