We live in the Omaha, NE area and have had our rott, Bailey, for 3 years. We got her when she was a nine month old stray from the Humane Society and was labelled as having dog aggression. She is a spayed, wonderful, beautiful, very very loving dog and extremely faithful, but she has horrible dominance/aggression towards other animals (especially larger dogs). She has never had any problems with aggression towards people or children. We recently had an incident where she slid under the fence (with both myself, my husband, and my neighbor outside with them) and began attacking my neighbor's dog, giving him 3 stitches. We don't feel safe keeping her anymore and cannot devote to time and money to doing rehabilitation classes with her. It breaks my heart to think of putting her down, so we are looking for any other option. If someone can help us
and give Bailey a good home and lots of time and love, they would be getting a very special dog (we love her so much!!). Please contact us if you can give us more information of what else to do. Thank you.

Can you give me some help? I can't believe I'm finally to the point that I've admitted that my dog needs a new home. I have a four year old rott. His name is Koda aka "snots". He is a big lovable teddy bear without a mean bone in his body. He loves other dogs, kids and has never met a person he doesn't like. He intimidates people because he thinks the whole world loves him and
wants to pet him. He is very very intelligent. He will heal off leash, sit stay, down, speak, play dead. He has rules, no dogs on the furniture, when it's time to eat dogs lay down by the front door and stay until mom and dad say it's OK to get up. Very well behaved and lovable. We recently moved into a newer home, but it's smaller. We don't have a fenced yard, and the yard isn't very big. When we leave, Koda stays in the laundry room, which he seems to be fine with. But, he needs a bigger yard, a bigger home and a family that will give him lots of hugs and kisses. He lives for affection. We just can't keep him any longer, and he is such an awesome dog I need a good home for him.

This intact male dog was found in Ashland NE when he wandered onto a friend's farm. They cannot keep him. He has been there for a week, so finally I went out there and got him. I already have too many pets Ha! So he cannot stay here either. Young dog, maybe 2-3 years, very sweet, knows some commands. No identification, wearing just a silver pinch collar. I posted signs with his picture and contacted our Lincoln NE Animal Control in case anyone has reported him missing. I will need to find him a home soon. If he stays with me for more than 1 week and I get no response he will be neutered since I work at a veterinary hospital. It is not convenient at all for him to stay here though, and I am willing to meet someone halfway if the nearest volunteer is not close by. Thanks for your consideration! Pam Andrews

The dog lives in the Bellevue, Nebraska area, name is Blak, male
(unnurtered), He needs a family that will let him live in the house. He
sleeps in the house. Well trained i just don't have the time to be home and
awake. I work the off hours and he needs more attention. Great with teenage
children and adults. Very playful 5year old dog. I want to make sure he has
a big back yard he can run free in and a family that will treat him with as
much love as i have. Tiffany Mynster-Frezell

I have a rott (mix?) who needs a home. He was dumped on a farm. We have had him for over a week running ads and posters with not a single call. Neutered male, sweet personality, current on vaccines, heartworm negative. I am willing to drive him somewhere if the nearest foster home is not in Nebraska. I have pictures I can send! Thanks!

There is a male and female, both 18 months old and unaltered, who have been abandonded at a boarding facility here. Ironically, the boarding facility is also run by the local puppy mill here, Tully's, and the owner called Cindy. Those dogs were bought from Tully's by a deaf man who had to scrimp and save for several months before purchasing the dogs. We got the impression he was buying a pair to breed. He could no longer afford to care for them and boarded them at Tully's and hasn't been back. Apparently, they have been trained with only hand signals since he is deaf but they don't know which hand signals he has used. They have been there since February and the male is showing signs of kennel aggression. Not that I'm anxious to help out Tully's, but I would hate to see them bred.
