Friends in Japan
Here you will find pictures of people I've met in Japan. They are from all over the world.
This picture is at the latern festival in Nagasaki. I love taking these self-portraits but this time I grabbed Joey in mid-sentence. I didn't notice that Christine had snuck in at the bottom
unitl I looked later. She looks a bit mischievious no?
Joey Caldererra is originally from Anchorage but he now lives in Houston where he goes to Rice University. Christine is from a farm in Bavaria but her amibitions were to big for the farming life. She studies journalism in Munich now. Her native language southern German dialect and her English is like so native and so totally like slang-ized by her American dude friends.
Both Joey and Christine speak four languages -- two smart cookies! Who knew!
