Icon manager (rev 1.2)

New feature of this revision ( rev 1.2 )
The extension file for icons catalog files is now *ICM
The default catalog file name is Icon catalog file.icm.
You can decide to load or save from a set of different catalogs
Icon manager provide you with an easy way to create and manage a compact catalog pf all your preferred icons in a single catalog file

Download the program

The icons are visualized inside a windows and you can chose the one you want and copy it inside clipboard to include inside your application, a web page or other document type.
To populate the catalog with icons you must perform a really easy ask; just select a set of file from a win95 source list ( ie. Explorer or Find files ) and drag and drop it over the icon manager’s window.
The file you must look for are exe, dll and ico files
In this way you can easily populate your catalogue with more than 1000 icons in less than a minute, simpli selecting the application and dll libraries on your hard disk and drag&drop on this program’s main windows.

Of course avoid to use icons whose author should forbid their use to other people.

More about using Icon manager

Each icon's picture has an associated owner group name.
An owner group name identified a group of icons and you can more than one icon identified by the same owner group name.
When you load a group of items from a specified file all these icons take by default the owner name of the source file.

Selection mask

Using selection mask to get a subset of icons

Each icons'picture has an associated owner group.

An owner group name identified a group of icons and you can more than one icon identified by the same owner group name.

When you load a group of items from a specified file all these icons take by default the name of the file.

Later you can modify the owner group name for each icon

Grouping the icon in these way allow the use of subnet mask to get a subset of the icon's catalog.

As in the above snapshot example entering in the subnet mask the word def we ask the programs tho show only all the icons whose owner group is starting with the word def (in these example you get only the icons identified by DEFRAG.EXE owner group ).
