The Legend of Doommon: Part 10
Doommon's eyes slowly opened. "James, you're such a fool. You know you
can't beat me on your own. Besides, I've got your friends with me." He turned
to Lisa and Leo. "You two are of no importance to me. Your digimon can't go
to the God level and you don't even have digimon."
"I just don't understand it though," Lisa said. "You're always talking to
yourself for reasons unknown. It's almost as if you know what James is doing."
Doommon's eyes narrowed slightly. "Your brother is most likely one of the
chosen digidestined to carry the powers of the God digimon. If he is and I
destroy him and his digimon, I'll get his power as well as the power I
already have."
Leo looked at Lisa and then at Doommon. "Doesn't that mean you're one of
the God digimon?"
"Hmm I see that you finally figured it out. Yes, it's true that I was
once a God digimon. But then I crossed the line with the other God digimon
and they forbid me to use the power to digivolve but left me at this level. I
was angry at them, and because of my anger, I destroyed most of the digital
world, giving me the name Doommon in legends. I guess it stuck because I'm
even calling myself Doommon."
"I don't know why, but whenever bad guys say something along those lines
it makes you feel sorry for them," Lisa said softly.
"Yeah, and then you feel guilty because of it," Leo replied.
"Now the question is, how do we get up there?" I asked.
SteelWingmon looked at me. "I'm not a bird for nothing. Unless, you've
suddenly forgotten I'm a bird." I smiled. It was true; I somehow forgot that
I had a flying digimon on my side.
Scizormon looked at me. "Just because we're at the Armor level doesn't
mean that we're strong. Right now we have the strength of Champion level
digimon."
"Go back to Rookie level."
"But when I'm Mathmon I'm not strong enough to carry both of you."
"That's why I want you to digivolve to Mega level."
Mathmon laughed. "Sure, waste my energy before the face-off! Good plan."
"Stop being so sarcastic Mathmon." Keramon said.
"Here's an idea. Both of you shut up!"
Mathmon glared at the both of us. "We aren't going to get anywhere by
arguing!"
"Just digivolve Mathmon."
"Fine. MATHMON WARP DIGIVOLVE TOO VIKUMON!!"
I got onto Vikumon, Keramon doing the same thing. I wasn't really
surprised that Keramon was hanging on for dear life even though we weren't in
the air yet. I have no idea why I looked down, but when I did I saw that my
crests were glowing.
Doommon smiled. "Yes James, your crests are glowing because I'm so close
to you. You made the wrong choice to make Mathmon digivolve to Vikumon.
You'll see that soon enough." He looked over at a BlackMetalGarurumon and
BlackWarGreymon, one that apparently doesn't have issues. "You can handle
another Mega level digimon can't you?"
"As long as it doesn't go farther we can handle it," the BMGM replied.
"And what if the other one digivolves? Will you be able to handle them
then?"
The BWGM nodded. "Most likely he won't digivolve when he's on the other
one. Unless he can cling to walls or rocks."
Pupmon looked at BlackPupmon. "Did you hear that?"
"Yeah, they're planning to ambush James while Vikumon flying."
Lisa grabbed BlackPupmon. "Are you sure?!"
BlackPupmon nodded. "If you're forgetting the fact that dogs have 'super'
hearing I'm surprised. Pupmon and me can hear whatever they're saying. But
with Doommon knowing what James is doing, well, keep wondering."
We were so close to the top when I looked up. I saw death looking at me
straight in the face. But it wasn't Doommon, and that was surprising. I was
what looked like BlackWarGreymon and BlackMetalGarurumon. At once, they began
firing their attacks.
"Vikumon look out!" Luckily, Vikumon got out of the way.
"What are they doing here?" I heard Keramon say.
I closed my eyes. There was nowhere to go. If we stayed here much longer,
Vikumon would lose his strength. We couldn't go up, that would lead us
straight into them. If we went down, Vikumon wouldn't see the attacks coming.
Keramon couldn't digivolve either. We were to high up and Vikumon can't
support Diaboromon's weight. It all seems so hopeless...
