1st MEETING FOR CLASS OF 92 CLASS REUNION

Reason for Meeting:
(1) Decide on event(s)
Unless we receive an overwhelming amount of interest in the next week or two we should consider a cookout only. If the interest is appropriate we can add a formal as well. Attending a football game is an option as well.
What? Cook-out & Possible Formal

Where? Piedmont (cook-out) Formal (T.B.D.)
(2) Determine whether we want to have a joint reunion with the class of 91.
It was recently brought to attention that the class of 91 did not have their 10 year reunion last year? Should we consider having a joint class reunion that will not only give us a chance to see old friends but increase the numbers of those attending as well? Vote….

(3) Set a definite date
In all fairness to those who no longer reside in Atlanta, I think the date should be determined by next week. We can either pick a date now or we can research availability of venues and set the date next week.

(4) Elect a committee
The most important part of this meeting is to elect a committee. There is no maximum number of board members that we can have, However I do feel it is necessary to elect Board Members (3-5) that will allow us to have a more reflecting panel. I’ve received several e-mails from people that would like to be on the committee but were not able to attend this meeting tonight. Since time is valuable, we are going to need all the help we can get to make this event happen.

(5) Delegate Tasks
The committee will be responsible for doing all the work to make the events happen. In order to do so effectively, we need to delegate tasks that will break the committee into groups. Each group will be responsible for different task.
CLASSMATE (S) FINDER –obtain a list of everyone that graduated in 1992 and get information on how to contact each of them. NO EXCUSES. Former teachers as well.
SPONSORSHIP FORCE – seek sponsorship from business to donate money for the class reunion. Local Business in Northeast Plaza would be a good target. Businesses we supported while in high-school and employees are other good sponsor candidates.
CONTACT PERSON(S) – someone easily accessible that can be reached by a large number of our classmates via e-mail, phone, or in person to keep our class updated with important information discussed at meetings.
PLANNERS – obtain location of venues for access with availability dates.
ENTERTAINMENT –in charge of music, food, and activities.
DECORATIONS – responsible for transforming any venue into a place to remember.
MEMORABILIA – purchase tokens to remember the event,( i.e. t-shirts, key chains, video tapes, etc.)

Please make plans to attend! No excuses! I think we all have jobs and/or families that makes it difficult to attend but with a little bit of planning ahead making these meetings are possible. Especially our class officers!
We need 3 to 4 people to help out with each of the above task! Each Chairman will commit to overseeing one or more of the above task and must be present at EVERY meeting.

I have formally invited The Class of 91 to join us by contacting their Vice President Damion Gottlieb. I’ve yet to get a yes or no as to whether they will join us or not.
