Ami re-drew her picture again, and that night she had a finished product. Of all her friends, sitting in the living room, shading, clothes, expressions, everything, done, done and done.

Chibi-Usa thought it was the best picure of anything in all the world, and insisted that she showed everyone in the household.

Mako kept her distance from Ami, and Tom kept his distance from both of them, sensing with that great male mind that something was wrong. Haruka, finally growing tired of the tension, cornered in on Ami later that night.

"Why are you being so bitchy to Mako?" She demanded, folding her arms crossly over her breasts, glaring at the smaller girl.

"..bitchy?"

"Haven't you noticed that she's in a complete depression and has been that way since you two broke up?!"

"...no. If she had cared at all about our relationship then she shouldn't have cheated on me." Ami replied heatedly, narrowing her eyes at the blonde.

"She was drunk! It was a one night stand!" Haruka hissed angrily, clenching her hands into fists. "I mean, c'mon, you can't tell me you've never cheated on that stiff you call a boyfriend!"

"Yes. Yes, I can." She said softly, evenly. "I have never cheated on him; I don't plan on cheating on him. Especially with Mako. Someone who would cheat on ME." Tears welled up in Ami's eyes and she whispered out, "Tell her I'm sorry." Before scuttling away, to her shared room with Tom.

Haruka stared at her retreating back for a moment before sighing, shaking her head slowly. She had helped the couple in the past...but this was getting ridiculous.

Mako reclined in a lounge chair the next day, sighing happily as the sunlight hit her tanned stomach. Things hadn't been the same since she and Ami had fought, but she had been trying to cope with it. Despair welled in her breast at the thought of never seeing Ami again, never holding the girl as a lover, never kissing her or touching her or making her moan out ‘Mako' in that delicious velvet voice she had.

"A fucking one night stand while I was missing her shouldn't destroy so much!" Mako cried out, voice gentle despite the tone and words. Her eyes snapped open as a soft, o-so-familier, hand laid themselves on hers at the lounge chairs arm and she looked at the face, one she had seen so many times, wanted to keep seeing forever, "Ami-chan..."

"Can I sunbathe with you?" Ami asked pleasently, slipping her hand from Mako's, well aware of the way her fingertips brushed against the other girls hand. Make nodded numbly.

Ami was dressed in a string bikini, aqua in color of course, with tiny, see through triangles barely covering her niples and another triangle between her legs, though it skinnied into a thong in the back. The blue haired girl smiled pleasently, snaking into the seat next to Mako's, legs crossed.

"Ne, Mako?" She asked after a few moments of slightly strained silence.

"Hai?"

"...why did you cheat on me? Was I that bad of a lover or something?" The words were hardly more then a whisper, and a scared, thin one at that. When Mako just stared at her in shock, Ami looked down, both a blush and a tear staining her cheeks. Neither spoke for a few minutes.

"You were always beautiful," Mako said, from out of the blue. "Very, very beautiful, like some sort of warm hearted ice goddess come from some ‘perfect' planet. I never felt worthy, and that night at college..I was just lonely. I missed you, I missed everything about you. I didn't cheat on you because of lack of skills, where you had NONE, but...here was someone who wasn't perfect. Someone who wasn't incredably beautiful, or flawless..."

"..." Ami turned her face away, ignoring the tears drifting from the aqua pools. Mako reached over, laying her hand on Ami's limp one, picking it up to place her lips on the back of the soft flesh.

"Ami, I love you," Mako whispered gently, closing her own eyes, "I've always loved you; I've always needed you. And I know I can never make up for the stupid mistake I made so long ago, but...please, Ami, please, give me another chance."

"...Mako.." Ami breathed, turning to face her ex-lover, eyes wide and still tearfilled, drying streams coating her cheeks, "M-Mako, I don't know what to..."

Mako just swallowed, forcing her eyes to meet Ami's, waiting with her heart almost breaking her ribcage.

"...I...I'm going to have to break up with Tom." The blue haired woman sniffled, holding out her arms. Mako grinned and melted into Ami's embrace, planting soft kisses over her neck and shoulder, wrapping her own arms around the slender form of her love, her only love, her true, true love.
