NOC Terms Dictionary

The following are some of the words and terms that people use at a Night of Corruption. I have listed the definitions of the words and a follow up sentence to show how the word can be used. For some of the entries, a picture or two may be shown below to further polish your knowledge of the term.

  • Angry Face- Term used when David Bowie makes a violent, unhappy face, but instead of being frightening, it is extremely sexy. Oh my GOD, Amanda! Did you see when David growled and made the angry face?! (examples shown below)

  • Area, The- Name for David Bowies crotch coined by one wonderful man and his web-site dedicated to it. Area Site I hope we can get tickets to the Bowie show. Let's pray to the Area. That always helps.

  • Boingy-Boing- Name for an occurrence in the movie 'Man Who Fell to Earth'. David is naked during the "gun scene" and is standing over Mary-Lou. She gets up, thus bumping into David's Area. We then have floppage which we call Boingy Boing. I would show the new Coruptee 'Man Who Fell to Earth', but I think Boingy Boing might be too much for her to handle at this early stage.

  • Corruptee- A person who has been corrupted into loving David Bowie by being "forced" to watch sexy Bowie videos. Can also be used when describing someone in the process of being Bowie corrupted. That girl said she thought David Bowie was hot in Labyrinth! I think she's a potential Corruptee

  • Gun Scene- Best scene in the movie 'Man Who Fell to Earth'. David first scares Mary Lou with a gun, threatening to kill her. He shoots, but the gun does not contain bullets, it contains blanks. So what do they do? They have mad, crazy sex, much to the delight of females, and gay and bi male viewers. Or to those who like to see a fat Mary Lou naked. Sicko's. The gun scene is crazy! I wish David would shoot ME with blanks and then do what he did to Mary Lou! (picture from this scene shown below)

  • Hand- Action in which two (or more) people squeeze hands in order to relieve sexual tension while watching David Bowie. AHHH!! David is about to go down on the microphone stand! HAND!!

  • Hoggling- Displayed in the movie Labyrinth. Hoggle, a lowly dwarf, begs Jareth (David) for mercy. He then proceeds to bow to David, thus putting his face right next to the Area. A wonderful close-up shot of it is seen. Whenever the Hoggling part comes up in Labyrinth, I play it in slow-motion. (picture shown below)

  • Humpage- Self explanitory term, but used very frequently at NOC's. David usually performs the best humpage on microphone stands, though possibly the greatest display of it is shown while he sang the Alabama song in Berlin, 2002. (And that was WITHOUT a microphone stand.) The humpage during Hallo Spaceboy during the 50th Birthday concert was so amazing, that I almost passed out. (3 pictures shown below)

  • Hyperventilation- Of course we all know what this word means, but it is used quite often at NOC's, because it happens a lot. Get me a brown paper bag! I'm feeling some serious hyperventilation coming on!

  • Mother, The- David move (usually performed at concerts during hard-core songs) in which he puts one hand directly above his Area and swivels his pelvis. The Ultimate Mother can be found in the Lorely, Germany concert video from 1996.Geez! It was the craziest thing! He did, like, FIVE MOTHERS!
