There are major differences between the two published versions of The Gunslinger. The wording and flow of the revised version is tighter. This is because a much older Stephen King revised a much younger version of himself's work. There are a few different scenes, like 19 coming up in Tull. Jake feels someone is watching him when they leave the waystation. There are more differences, to many to name here. This book is a great start to a great story. Rating: *****
