Glogg
Inspiration: Lucky Roux
Explanation: The man does not mess around. If he's going to drinking something, it's going to have enough stuff in it to be soup and come in one size only - barrel.
Description: Makino had to make runs to the grocery store to make sure she was stocked in the ingredients, but once she was finished and handed it over to Roux, he was happy for, oh, minutes at a time.
Type: Collins
12 oz. Little Garden Amphora 1 bottle dry red Whine 8 cloves 3 cardamon pods, crushed 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 c. blanched almonds 3/4 c. granulated sugar 2 tsp. brown sugar
In a large saucepan, place the brandy, wine, cloves, cardamon pods, cinnamon stick, raisins, almonds and granulated sugar. Set over medium high heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Just before the mixture boils, carefully ignite it by touching a match to the surface. Pour brown sugar on the flames; allow to burn for ten seconds. Extinguish the flame by covering the pan with a lid. To serve - spoon some raisins and almonds into a mug first before adding the Glogg. Or, in Roux's case, serve straight out of the pan.
