Tempus Fugit - Damn Your Eyes

Tempus Fugit is a strange band out of Akron, Ohio. I didn't know what to expect from their music by looking at their strange website, but here goes. They describe their music as AlternaPunkRock. To me this sounds like lo-fi/do it yourself garage rock. Damn Your Eyes is not mixed that well and has a heavily distorted strange guitar sound to it. The singing sounds flat and could use more emotion and conviction. Damn Your Eyes needs a hook to catch the listener's attention. It attempts to catch the listener with the chorus and after a few listens it does have a little hook to it but all in all, the song needs more feeling and emotion and it seems to be missing something. The music is fairly simplistic but with some better mixing this could be an improved song. I would give this song a 4 out of scale of 10. It's not all that bad, it has potential but right now it doesn't catch my attention.
