"Howard!" Howie's head snapped around at the sound of his full name. His eyes lit up as he caught sight of his sister Pollyanna making her way through the crowds to where he and Cait stood.
"Polly!" He wrapped his older sister in a tight hug as she reached them. When they pulled apart Howie turned to Cait with a huge grin lighting his face. He took her hand and led her over to where Polly stood, waiting to meet her little brother's new girlfriend.
"Polly, I've got someone I want you to meet." Howie said with a grin. "I know you know who this is already, but I'm going to introduce you anyway. This is my Caitlyn. Sweetie, this is my big sister, Pollyanna."
"Caitlyn. I was wondering when I'd finally get to meet you. My little brother hasn't shut up about you for the last nine months." Polly smiled, her brown eyes shining. "And please, call me Polly." She hugged Cait, who gratefully hugged back. Howie looked on with a blissful smile on his face.
"I'm so happy to meet you, too." Cait said, smiling at her soon to be sister-in-law. "And you can call me Cait. Howie's the only one who calls me Caitlyn." She grinned, poking him lightly in the stomach and wrapping her arm around his waist, resting her head on his shoulder. Howie gently kissed her forehead and turned back to his sister.
Their actions weren't lost on Polly. She saw the look in both of their eyes. Her little brother was head over heels in love with the girl in his arms and she was just as much in love with him.
"Oh, Howard, you two are so cute." Polly teased.
"We know." He retorted, a cheeky grin on his face.
"Well, we should be on our way. Mama and Dad are waiting for us." Polly reminded Howie.
"We're ready." Howie said, picking up an overnight bag that contained his and Cait's essentials. The rest of their things would be dropped off the next day.
"Well, then let's go." Polly started off, making her way through the airport to the lot where her car was parked. Howie and Cait followed hand in hand. Cait's nervousness had ebbed slightly after meeting Polly, but was now back full force. She gripped Howie's hand tightly, drawing strength from his presence.
