Chapter 10

"Morning, sweetie." Howie's voice met Cait's ears as she awoke.
She stretched and sat up. Howie was sitting on the end of the bed.
"Morning." She smiled and hugged him. "What time is it?"
"It's only 8:30, but the guys and I have a meeting with management at 9:00."
"Right. Well, I guess Anna and I will have to amuse ourselves for a while." She smiled again as he handed her a glass of juice. "What's the meeting about?"
"Just general stuff about the tour, discussing turnout and stuff. Pretty boring." Howie grimaced.
"Didn't your mom ever tell you not to do that? Your face might get stuck." Cait teased. Howie grinned.
"The meeting shouldn't be too long, then we can go do something before we have to get ready for tonight's show."
"Sounds good to me." Cait got up and stretched her stiff muscles. "I better get dressed."
"You could always wear what you have on. It's cute." Howie joked. "I don't think so." Cait grinned, looking down at her baggy pajama pants and tank top, which were covered with a little blue leopard-print pattern. "I've never had the urge to wear my jammies in public. I'm going to have a shower."
"Jammies?" Howie repeated, unable to keep a straight face.
"Yes, jammies, Mr. Dorough." She mock-glared at him. "Now, I'm going for that shower. You better get a hold of yourself. You don't wanna have to change your pants."
Her eyes twinkled as she grabbed clean jeans and a burgundy t-shirt and gave him a kiss on the cheek, before heading for the bathroom, leaving Howie to his laughing fit.

As Cait was combing her wet hair, there knock on the door. Opening it, she smiled. "Hey Anna. Come in. I'm almost done getting ready."
"Great. How long do you think the guys will be?" She asked, picking up a brush and running it through her blonde hair.
"Howie said the meeting shouldn't be too long." Cait answered, as she carefully applied a little mascara.
"That's good. I miss AJ already." Cait giggled. "I know, I know. I'm totally pathetic." Anna grinned.
"That's okay. I miss Howie, too."
"Cait?"
"Yeah?"
"Have you...?" She trailed off, blushing.
"Have I what?" Cait asked, pulling back the sides of her hair and clipping them with barrettes.
"Have you and Howie....?" Anna's face went redder.
"Anna! I don't believe you asked that!" Cait's face flushed.
"So you haven't?"
"No, we haven't done anything. Just kissing. I don't want to move too fast and Howie understands."
"AJ and I..." Anna blushed furiously.
"Anna?! Did you?!" Cait's shock was apparent.
"Last night."
"Oh my god!" Cait shrieked. "You did?!" Anna nodded. "Tell me everything!"

"Hey D! Morning man." AJ called as Howie stepped out of the room he and Cait shared.
"Hey AJ." He replied, then frowned seeing the goofy grin on AJ's face. "What's with you? You have the stupidest look on your face."
"None of your business, D."
"Oh shit. AJ, you didn't."
"Didn't what?"
"Did you and Anna...?" Howie looked at him disapprovingly.
"It's none of your business, man, but yeah, we did. Man! Howie, don't look at me like that. I love Anna and she loves me. I would never hurt her, if that's what you're thinking."
"Were you safe?" Howie asked pointedly.
"Yes, she's on the pill."
"AJ, you know that's not enough. You're supposed to double up." Howie frowned.
"I know. We were kinda caught up in the moment...if ya know what I mean." AJ grinned.
"AJ, you need to grow up!" Howie glared at him, not at all amused.
