August 5, 2003:
Mark it in your calenders, boys and girls, Statements Lost has a show at the Muse Cafe! (random claps and screams of joy and rapture). Anyways, the date to mark is September 27th, 2003. That is a Saturday. Unfortunate for you we do not have a set time (prolly 7 or so) or a cost. One of the bands we are playing with is None The Less. I have never heard of them personally, but I hear they are emo-like, so get out your pocket hankies and get ready to cry. The third band is to be announced as soon as I know. If you have a band, and would like to play with us, 'cause we rule, call up the Muse and book yourself. So, something to look forward to. Tell your friends!
August 2, 2003:
So, how do you all like Matt's first update? Anyway, I am a lazy bastardhead so, I don't update much anymore. Not like anyone ever reads this crap anyway. Send me an e-mail if you read this site, and please comment on how much no one reads this site. Anyway, we will be practicing soon, because we haven't in weeks. The Basement flooded like, twice, so we couldn't practice. Then, Godd was gone to journalism camp, and then the Moron Brothers went to Pidgeon Forge, TN. Anyway, we got some kick ass new songs for our next performance. You will like it, if you don't already hate us. But, if you hate us, why are you reading this? Well, I'm out.
August 2, 2003:
The show at Oasis was canceled but we didn't find out until we got there. Sorry for those of you who went anyway. We're out to book a bunch of new shows soon and hopefully the Oasis gig will get rescheduled. More shows soon, hope to see you all there! Take care. - Matt
June 22, 2003:
Statements Lost has a show! Friday, June 27th, 2003 at the American Legion in Lansing, IL. Click here for more information. Everyone should come see us. We are cool, and it is a cancer benefit. Be a good person, come to the show!
May 27, 2003:
This past Saturday, Statements Lost played a show out in Sauk Village, near Bloom Trail High School. The show was booked around 12:30 p.m. on May 24, 2003. The band received a call and they agreed to play. Mitch Hein, SL's ex-bassist, filled in due to SL's current lack of a bassist (apply here). Unfortunately, Sidekick™ was not available for the show, but none-the-less the show went off fairly well.
Also new to Statements Lost is the new message board. This new board will replace the old board, located here. Since the old board was deleted not too long ago anyway, the new board is an uprade in quality. This new board also offers more personalized posts, better organization, person-to-person messaging, and much more. I hope you all enjoy it, and start posting soon! NOTE: It is prefered that you register if you plan on posting often, which is encouraged.
May 10, 2003:
In a drastic attempt to gain some popularity, Statements Lost recently recorded based on the advice of Thee Almighty Foot. Check it all out here.
April 29, 2003:
No real news to post. I M R U ?'s first single, Save the Whales, can now be downloaded here. It is their first in a line of odd, yet mostly humorous songs.
I M R U ? is Sidekick's and Godd's small side project, with occasional help from Mike Gonya. Sidekick is the main man, though. Godd just produces his songs. The Birth Control Pill song should be up within the next couple weeks. Something to look forward to!
April 24, 2003:
Alright, so it is 3:45 a.m. and I just finished updating the page. Sorry for the technical difficulties experienced earlier. The links from the Ingress (main opening page) to the main site were down. I have fixed that problem. You can now shoot Mitch all you want AND get into the site. All the D.O.G. Hause Show pictures are up finally, and the captions are as well. Make sure to read the captions. Those can be found in the 'Pics' section. There is also an updated bio picture to check out as well. That is about all for now. Here is some food for thought.
April 20, 2003:
Happy Easter, everyone! All you Christians can forget about Lent and commit all the sodomy you want! I hope you all stuff yourselves full of your delicious ham, turkey, tofurkey, or whatever you eat. Explode with delight! Just remember, you are only eating because a dead Jesus Christ rose from his grave after dieing for all you sinners. Happy Easter.
April 7, 2003:
Mitch Hein officially is no longer a member of Statements Lost. At our last show, Mitch acquired Crohns disease. Unfortunately, this leaves him incapacitated and unable to be in Statements Lost. Mitch will accompany the band to any shows they receive, prior to finding a new bassist. Here's to good times, and a bass player we all will miss......making fun of!
Speaking of making fun, SL is looking for a new bassist! If you are a bassist, and like punk-rock, and are between the ages of 14-18, and can practice easily and have talent with the bass guitar, email Godd. Any bassist can try out, and we are willing to try you!
March 29, 2003:
In a recent survey of Christians, I have found that they WILL not give up sodomy for Lent. Sorry for the mistake. In other news, the show is on, with A Tragic Scene, for sure. Also, Dave has had a conversation with a certain Highland student, Justin Melcarek, who will remain nameless. Here it is.
March 18, 2003:
Alright, so, April 6th, some band is playing with Statements Lost, and that band has Mitch in it. That is all I can really tell you. So, there will be a show, as posted, with some band that Mitch is in.
March 11, 2003:
So, what I hear NOW is that A Tragic Scene WILL be playing the show, without Derek, though. So, I have no fucking idea what the hell is going to happen, but you know what? Statements Lost is playing, and that is all that matters. Another band may still be contacted to play with us, but who knows.......who really knows.
March 8, 2003:
Thanks to Derek Barthel going to Florida, A Tragic Scene is pulling out, hehehe, of the St. Paul show. And what is up with Church shows? Considering most of the band doesn't have any sort of religious background. Meh, a shows a show I guess. Anyways, SL is trying to get another band to play, like Life Itself, possibly. Either way, the show will go on!
March 5, 2003:
We have a show! From what my good friend Mitch Hein has told me, the Mitch Hein Split, a.k.a. SL and A Tragic Scene, have a show together on the first Sunday in April. The show will be held at the D.O.G. Hause, located at St. Paul Lutheran in Munster, IN. I am unaware of cost or time at this point, but it will be posted as soon as I know.
Also, today is Ash Wednesday, and the beginning of Lent. For all you religiously-ignorant people out there, Lent is a pointless 6 week span of time where Christians give up something they like, like sodomy, for Christ. I am going to give up God. That is all.
February 27, 2003:
Today is a sad day for our, and numerous other's, generation. Fred Rogers, the host of the children's television show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, has passed due to stomach cancer at the age of 74. Let us all remember Mr. Rogers as that wonderful man who just wanted to take off his sweater.
On a lighter note, Goodbye!
February 14, 2003:
Valentine's Day! The one day in the year where you're suppossed to show you care, like only believing in God on Sunday! Anyway, check over to your left (<---- that way). There you will find new images! If you do not see new images, then please refresh your browser. On a new note, The entire demo is up, and hopefully some more may come in the future. Other than this, nothing else is really new, just felt there should be some new news posted. Well, if anything else comes up, I will notify you immediately! And so I leave you with this one last thought: Booyah grandma. Booyah.
February 6, 2003:
More news! Statements Lost will have shows within the next few months. Not sure of specific dates, but you can expect something. There should be some pics up soon of a Take Cover show that three of four members of SL were present at, two of which are in the band. For a cover band, they aren't too bad. So, to sum it up, you should see SL soon.
January 21, 2003:
And you thought I forgot about the site! Well, I did for awhile, but I finally got off my ass and updated it. We have quite a bit of updates to mention, so here we go. We have a new rhythm guitarist, Dave Bowman. He is excellent and will bring a lot to the band. His bio is posted, along with everyone else's now, so check it out. Three of SL's demo songs are posted as well. If you missed the link at the start, you can find the demo here. It's a much better recording than before, and there are two more songs to come. If you don't want to download them, or would just like a hard copy, you can e-mail Godd and he can hook you up for just $1.00. Them cd's aren't free you know! Also new, we have a message board! The guestbook is no longer, but you can post comments and all else on the message board now! The pictures from our June practice last year with our new drummer are finally up, with the pop-up comments as usual. Hopefully, we can get some new ones with Dave, and once we do they will be posted A.S.A.P. I, the Webmaster, am making a promise, to the random website viewers and fans, that I will update the site as soon as anything new is available. This is my promise to you! Well, click through the site, and enjoy! There will be more to come in the future!
June 15, 2002 (part 2):
I forgot something. Statements Lost has buttons for sale. If you would like to get your grubby little hands on one or more of these little beauts, just e-mail the webmaster, or Godd himself. The cost of each button is a whopping $.50, that's 50 cents for you slower kids out there. Also, if you or your band/organization would like to get your own buttons made, you can contact Alison Eichhorn at BigAl@buttonsbyal.cjb.net. This link will be on the Links page until an official website is established. Now that I am extremely tired, and it's 1:29 a.m., I shall retire for the evening....or morning I guess.
June 15, 2002:
It has been nearly forever, but the St. Ann's pictures are finally up. Also, there is a new feature to the pictures site. If you leave your mouse hovered over the picture, you will get a little comment on the picture. Also, the Links page is constantly being updated, so please send any links you may have. There will also be some miscellaneous pictures posted within the next couple weeks. These pics will include the new drummer, and our latest practice session, and maybe some really funny stuff......who knows? Well, it is about 1:06 a.m. now, so your friendly webmaster needs sleep.
June 11, 2002:
After much lack of activity on Statements Lost's part, they have a new drummer. Mike Gonya, from such unknown bands as 'Religious Vomit', 'Take Cover', and Godd's own side project, 'Never A Dull Moment', is a premium drummer at a low, low cost. So, Statements Lost should see a new dawning, or dawn a new something......yeah.
June 1, 2002:
Ahh.....The start of a new month, but who the fuck cares? Anyways, the 'Ask Godd' questions can now be found here. Some are quite funny, in fact, they usually are funny. Meh, please laugh and enjoy.
May 30, 2002:
For the past month and over, Statements Lost has been doing absolutely nothing. But, now that summer is here, practicing will begin and we are trying to get more shows. We will be playing this summer and we are still together, just not doing anything. Hopefully, we can release our first cd, or atleast a new demo, early this summer, whether crappy or not, it's something to listen to, or as I do, burn for fun. Also, the 'Ask Godd' questions will soon be posted for all to view. Few select questions will be answered publically, but all questions can be read by anyone, unless noted otherwise by the person posting. Well, until more news, later.
April 16, 2002:
The T.F. South Battle has been cancelled! So, who knows when the next SL show is. We are working on getting more of them, but who knows what will happen. Until more news, I'm out.
April 3, 2002:
Alright, we got some pictures on the site for you now. They kinda suck, but that isn't my fault. The pictures for the St. Ann's show should be up sometime in the near future, those are fairly good from what I hear. Also, the entire SL site is up and running finally. There are still some minor nuisances to deal with, but those should be taken care of promptly. Hope you enjoy!!
April 1, 2002:
Happy April Fool's Day! The bios are FINALLY up for a change, and it's about damn time I did it. Meh. Anyway, you can check those out, except Jon's.....his isn't filled out yet. Whatever, more to come so enjoy!
March 21, 2002:
Apparently Statements Lost will be playing a Battle of the Bands at T. F. South on April 27th, 2002. We are not sure of the time yet, or any details other than the date, but we will keep you updated.
