WHO: Godsmack, Jim Rose Circus, Revile???
WHAT: VOODOO TOUR
WHERE: Hard Rock Live @ Universal Studios, FL
WHEN: Friday November 26, 1999 @ 8:00 PM

As the "Coliseum of Rock" at Universal Studios Citywalk began to fill its floor with eager fans the opening act set about warming up and making checks.  After waiting for what felt like forever, the curtains were raised and the first note of heavy guitar was played.  To tell you the truth I can't even really remember the name of the opening band, I think it was Revile or something like that.

They weren't all that great in my opinion, but for a band just starting out they were alright.  The crowd took to them well though and soon the floor turned into a giant moss pit!  The band played for about an hour.  Most of their music sounded like the same thing over and over, but just slightly altered.  Their style was similar to Goth Rock with some metal thrown.
After a short break in the action, Jim Rose took the stage.  For those of you who don't know who Jim Rose is, he is the head of a modern day "freak show."  This show was not for the weak at heart or stomach!  Jim Rose and his 3 freaks, one "made of rubber" showed the crowd went to the extreme to make everyone in the crowd drop their jaws to the floor.

He even went as far as shoving a spoon into his head, nails through his cheek, and he even pumped one of the freaks stomaches!  For a last thrill the one freak balanced a lawn mower on top of his face while the crowd threw heads of lettuce into the running blade!  It was in all quite a show, one I will never forget!

After quite a long set, GODSMACK took the stage and within only seconds the floor of Hard Rock Live was jammed packed full of fans!  I struggled towards the front battling crowd surfers and mosh pits that broke into wild frenzies!  Security guards had to break up a few of the mosh pits that turned into pure slug fests!  Upon making it to the front of the floor I enjoyed the show!  GODSMACK was awesome in concert!  They sounded incredible and the bass was blasting so loud it shook the soul!  They played for about an hour and a half, and every minute of it was great!  They closed with Voodoo and the whole crowd went crazy!  The lead singer of GODSMACK said at the end of the concert with a smile on his face, "You all are the most fuckin wild crowd we have ever fuckin played for!"
