Was anyone else waiting for this special 6-cover issue with bated breath? Well worth the wait. Great pictures. Good article, though it could have been longer in my humble opinion. Hey, this was the first time Rolling Stone has ever issued 6 different covers for one issue, you think they could have gone all out and had a huge fuckoff article to go with it. Hell, the interview for Drew Barrymore's cover last year was a hell of a lot longer than *NSYNC's, and she didn't have 6 covers. Bitter much? But, such is life. I bought the Chris cover myself, because Lance's cover looked kinda creepy to me, and the fucking group shot cover was only for subscribers. Grr. Anyways, here are all the covers, plus the outtakes from the photo shoot. Thank you, Rolling Stone.com. And by-the-by, I decided not to put up the cover shots with the headlines on them and whatnot; I just put up the uncovered cover shots....I mean, no one really wants to see "Inside the Strange World of Andy Dick" across the picture of your favorite *NSYNCer.
And now for the talent portion of our show (thanks, Foxy):
Words cannot describe HOW much I fucking love this picture. I like speaking in italics, in case you hadn't noticed. Anyways, it's perfect. He's all smirky and slightly evil-looking, but in a mischievous sort of way. It's kind of like a 'Matrix meets Trainspotting' thing, but in that pseudo Russian novel ilk......sorry, inside joke. But the point I'm trying to make here is: Chris is sexy, isn't he?
This is the Chris picture that ended up on the cover, although I would have definitely voted for the other one. Don't get me wrong, he looks very pretty here and all, and the screaming thing is pretty cute, but the other one just screams 'liquid sex', dammit!
The hair, good; the fuzzy caterpillar on the chin, not so much. And I'm sorry, but that angle really does nothing for his nose.
I like this one much better and I'm very pleased that they chose it for the cover. This cover really gave Chris a run for his money, I seriously considered buying it before choosing the Chris one. This picture is nearly perfect, but once again, JC, kill the caterpillar!!!
Lance.....dude....your eyes are creepin' me out here. They just have this ability to look really blank and hypnotic, like "Looooook into my eyyyes...you are getting verrry sleeeeepy"....imagine that being said with a bad, vaguely East European accent and that's how this picture makes me feel. And there's something about that little half-smile thing that gives Lance a ticking time-bomb sort of vibe.
Oh thank Christ, Mr. Creepy is gone. Replaced by fun-lovin' Lance. His eyes don't look quite so transparent and freaky and he's got a real smile on. Much better. Glad they chose this one for the cover, rather than the 'hypnotist extraordinaire' picture.
Is anyone else getting a date-rapist vibe from this picture? It's like he's trying to be all sexy and come-hither, but it ain't workin'.
Smiley Justin is much better. I still don't like the shaved head, but it's not a bad picture.

I like this picture. Very cute, very fun. But the whole...I dunno what it is...that mirror-shadow thing...where you can see their faces superimposed...like they...well, superimposed another picture on top of this one. Yeah. It's kind of annoying.
Same clothes and backdrop as the cover photo, but they get to have a bit of fun in this one. Unfortunately, it comes off looking rather posed, rehearsed....phony. And why does Chris always insist on having his mouth open?
I love this picture. I mean, I love it. First of all, they're dressed normal. I swear I don't think Chris could look any more damn sexy than he does here....and Lance.....and JC. And it's got a nice casual vibe, although Justin insists on flashing his sultry look....and his biceps. Methinks the boy is getting too big for his britches.......I just used the word 'britches' in a sentence.
