Catch 22 Show Review
Catch-22, Adam's Not Funny, Lucky, Skatter Brains, Union Spirit, Secret C
May. 30th...Casino Skate Park
I got to the show around 6 not knowing what to expect, cuz I never heard any of the bands before except ANF and Catch 22. The first band Scatter Brains went on and were decent for a just starting off type band. Then this band Secret C went on and i couldn't really get into them. They were like alternative metal. But they got the crowd kinda going. Next was Adam's Not Funny. I hadn't heard these guys since their last Cove show and I feel like every time I see them they get better and better. They brought the house down. They had their new trombone player{his first show) and sounded really good. The crowd was really into it now. A huge pit formed and I decided to get out of there and just dance to the side. I love these guys and their live show just keeps evolving. After ANF was Lucky and I thought they were pretty decent. An all girl band, Lucky is very unique and soothing. I enjoyed them. After Lucky came Union Spirit and then Boris and the.. This band was pretty good. An all musical/surf guitar band. The crowd seemed to be getting tired until CATCH 22 came on. Everyone went bezerk. Whoever said the new Cacth 22 is worse, is definitely mistaken. They played a tremendous set and got the kids back into it(since ANF) Everyone was singing and dancing. It was excellent. They played an old osng of the demo, "Better than You" and a lot of the songs on the cd. A really good ska/hardcore new songs was played and I thoroughly enjoyed that too. Overall, it turned out to be a good show. I had fun and it seems everyone else did too!
