SUMMARY
Rachel, Marco, and Ax are minding their own business in a diner -- when all of a sudden, a man goes crazy, ranting about oatmeal! They first suspect he’s a Yeerk Controller, but why would he call such attention to himself? Then Rachel and Marco sneak into the nut house where the man, George Edelman, is being forced to stay. He tells them that he is indeed a Yeerk, and that maple-flavored oatmeal caused the Yeerk in his head to go crazy. He also tells them the Yeerk can never leave his head, unless removed by Controllers. So the Animorphs have a new weapon -– but how are they supposed to use it? They can’t use it on the Controllers -– that’d be like hurting the slaves to spite the slave owners. They have to go directly to the source. Which means only one thing -- they have to make another trip to the dreaded Yeerk pool.... |
